Right across the street, the local Waffle House is ready with your breakfast favorites. Just a few steps down the beach, the beachfront Island Pancake House can be found inside the Howard Johnson hotel.

There is a small specialty market right across the street from Seawind for those last minute needs including food, beverages, clothing, beach gear & souvenirs. A Dollar General is within comfortable walking distance, just a half mile away.
Other options just a short drive away include a Walmart Supercenter, family-owned Rouses Market and Publix.

Beer and wine can be found at most grocery and convenience stores. The Island Market, right across the street, has one of the best selections in town.
For spirits, Seaside Liquor is just short walk away or you may want to visit a State-owned ABC Select Spirits retail store.

Mardi Gras Parade (February)
Dating back to 1978, the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras Parade now works its way east on Beach Blvd directly in front of Seawind.
Bama Coast Cruisin’ (April)
Held at The Wharf in Orange Beach, AL, this event is a laid back, family-friendly weekend full of amazing cars, fun events, entertainment and food.
Hangout Music Festival (May)
Originating in 2010, the Hangout Music Festival is an annual three-day music festival held on the public beaches of Gulf Shores, generally taking place on the third weekend in May.
4th of July Fireworks (July)
Join us in celebrating the birth of our Nation with a stunning fireworks show over the waters of the Gulf of Mexico at Gulf State Park Pier.
Annual National Shrimp Festival (October)
Offering food, music, artwork, shopping, 5K & 10K races, a sand castle building contest, and overall fun for the whole family, the Shrimp Festival has been a Gulf Shores tradition for over 49 years.
Christmas Lighted Boat Parade (December)
Each year proud boat owners in the area deck out their boats with festive holiday lights to provide onlookers a unique Christmas memory. The parade route is from LuLu’s in Gulf Shores to The Wharf in Orange Beach.
